Almost 9 month Check Up and Flooring

We've been SO busy lately so there haven't been many updates although there have been lots of developments. I wanted to post a few things before we head out early Thursday morning for Michigan to see Rocky's extended family.

Yesterday was Adelaide's 9 month check up. She'll be 9 months old on Friday. Crazy. She was doing well. She'd had a little bit of an irritated throat but that was all back to normal. Adelaide was 19 lbs. 10 oz, still the 70th percentile, and 28 1/4 inches long, the 75th percentile. I really thought she wouldn't still be proportional. She's been looking thinner since she started crawling. Her head was still little, 50th percentile. Of course that doesn't affect her brain power. :)

The doc said she was superb, a happy kid, and a thinker. He put some stuff in front of her for her to grab and instead of lunging for it, she thought for awhile before choosing to play with one of the options. He said this will probably save us some trips to the ER later.

This visit doesn't normally include immunizations but since we're more than likely going to Thailand again this summer, we had to get some that we'd been putting off before-- polio and hepatitis b. We still haven't gotten the hep b vaccination ourselves. It's one of those things that seem so unlikely for us to get. Anyway, when it comes to Adelaide, better safe than sorry.

We've been putting flooring in since last Thursday. Talk about a crazy time to be working on that. Our house is in total disarray. There's a loveseat, TV, Entertainment center, tools, and other miscellaneous junk in our bedroom right now. Our kitchen table has been covered with tools and wood scraps for the entire time so there's barely been a place to eat or sit or sleep. We've been living with the Benefields and Tanners to avoid too many fumes. And all this before we have to pack up and leave for the holidays. Having my house messy is very stressful for me so this is about to push me over the edge.

It looks amazing though, except for the lack of trim, transitions, and glue on the floor. I can't wait til it's completely done. Here's a pictures from this weekend.
